540,564. Transit containers for liquids, gases &c. RAYNER, A., and FAWKES, W. H. Feb. 15, 1940, No. 2903. [Classes 18 and 66] A flexible container for liquids, gases or undivided fluid masses such as pastes or fluid jelly-like substances consists of a rubber or other elastic container 3 inserted in an outer container 1 so that when filled it lies against and conforms to the shape of the outer container, both containers being adapted to fold to a flat and collapsed condition. The outer cover may be a carton, or may be made from hingedly connected parts. It may be of wood or of plain or corrugated card or of fibre board. metal, hard rubber &c. The inner container may also be made from hingedly connected, flexible parts. It may also be closed independently of the outer cover, e.g. by means of a filling tube 4, or by a metal or wooden tap, and the closure may project outside the cover. The corners of the inner container may be strengthened at 7 and the side edges and ends may have reinforcihg ribs or cords 8.
