Abstract
549,236. Portable ovens. ARPAN ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and SMITH, L. V. A. April 7, 1941, No. 238. [Class 126] A portable oven Which may be folded up in the form of a suit case, as shown in Fig. 1, has doors 5, 6 secured by a catch 7 which may be opened out, as shown in Fig. 2, to provide extensions of the sides. Shelves 11, 12 supported in guides 10 are arranged inside the oven and may be extended as shown to engage with guides 13 in the doors 5, 6. A sliding top member 9 is withdrawn to engage the top edges of the doors 5, 6 and a door 17 which is supported in sockets 18 when the oven is folded up, is mounted in similar sockets on the door 6 and the latch member 19 thereon engages with a catch on the door 5 to form a closure for the oven which is heated by a stove 21 arranged on the bottom of the oven as shown. The top of the oven may be provided with an opening 22 over which a kettle may be placed.
