[Class 97 (i)] A kinematograph camera is mounted so as to be rotatable about three axes at right-angles to one another and is adjustable so that each of the axes passes through the front nodal point of its lens. As shown in Fig. 1 (not shown) the camera 1 is supported by a tray 11 forming the bottom of a frame having its sides 12, 13 pivoted in a cradle 18 carried by a plate 24 in a ring 23 completely rotatable on rollers 31 turning in cages 32 secured to a ring 30 mounted on a rotatable vertical column 34. The camera is secured to a plate 2 connected by a hinge 4, Fig. 4, to a plate 3 rotatably adjustable on the upper of two crossed slides 5, 8 movable horizontally by handle 7, 10 ; movement of the plate 2 about its hinge 4 is effected by links 45 connecting the plate to nuts on oppositelypitched threads on a rod rotatable by a knob 41. Rotation of the frame about its pivots 16, 17 is effected by a handle 47 (Fig. 1, not shown) on a rod 48 secured to a pivoted quadrant 49, Fig. 5 adjustably attached to the side 12 by a slot and wing nut 50, a frictional resistance means 19 and an adjustable friction member 21 engaging a segment 20 secured to the side 12 being first released ; a counterweight 15 for the camera is carried by the top 14 of the frame. The cradle is vertically adjustable in the ring 23 by a hand wheel 25 turning a threaded rod 26 engaging a threaded sleeve 27, and is secured in adjusted position by locking rods 28, Fig. 4, having handles 29. Handles 46 on the ring 30 facilitate rotation about the axis of the column 34, and the ring 30 is carried by a bracket 33 engaging the column 34 by curved surfaces 38 and laterally movable by a rack engaged by a worm rotatable by a handled shaft 36. The column 34 may be vertically adjusted by hydraulic means in a stand 35 movable on wheels 39 and provided with screw-jacks 40 for use when the stand is to remain stationary.
