Abstract
548,289. Collapsable boxes. HEWITT, W. J. C April 1, 1941, No. 4383. [Class 18]. A collapsable box comprises four sides 10, 11, 12, 13, hinged together and bottom and lid panels 22 also hinged and arranged to seat within the projecting ends of battens 32, 36 secured to the sides so as to keep the structure erect. When collapsed, the box structures interfit to facilitate stacking. Each of the six walls may be reinforced by four battens at the edges forming a square. The hinge for the lid may be omitted.
