546,285. Absorption plant. SUTCLIFFE, E. R., and EDWARDS, W. E. Nov. 30, 1940, No. 17113. [Class 1 (i)] In an absorption plant comprising two or more filters 1, 2 operating on alternate charging and flushing phases, the mixture of steam, solvent, and extrained air discharged from a filter 1 during flushing is passed through a condenser j from which the condensed water and solvent pass to a separator k, and the residual air is passed through"aperture h' into the inlet conduit b<SP>1</SP> of a filter 2 which is being charged.
