Abstract
546,254. Hallway sleepers and chairs. CHATWOOD SAFE CO., Ltd., BRUCKSHAW, H. S., and FABER, O. May 2,1941, No. 5738. [Class 104 (ii)] A combined sleeper and chair comprises a reinforced concrete sleeper a formed with channelshaped spaces in which are embedded stressedmetal liners by pressing the sides b, b<SP>1</SP> towards each other before the concrete is cast around it. The central part of the sleeper may be of V-shape as shown in Fig. 3, and the chair portion may taper slightly from the middle to the ends transversely of the sleeper. The central V part may be omitted.
