Abstract

[Class 80 (iii)] [Also in Group XXVII] A lever mechanism comprises the combination of a pair of levers arranged to lie across each other, a coupling slidable along both levers and means for controlling the coupling. A lever a pivoted at b has a slot c and is connected to a link d for actuating or to be actuated by the lever. A lever e pivoted at f has a slot h which crosses the slot c, a coupling piece i engaging both the slots. The coupling piece may be controlled in any manner, e.g., it may be anchored to the free end of a link j connected to a fixed or movable pivot k. An arm e<1> of the lever e may be connected to an actuating or actuated link g. The mechanism is primarily intended for effecting joint movements in a predetermined relationship of the throttle valve and control lever or other associated parts of an internal-combustion engine carburetter.
