Abstract

530,127. Printing-machines. HELMBERGER, F. June 16, 1939, No. 17672. [Class 100 (ii)] In a rotary intaglio printing-machine the printing cylinder 1 prints once for each two revolutions, and the cylinder 1 is inked for alternate revolutions only by means of rollers 15, 16 which are tripped by a cam 25 and lever mechanism when not required to operate. The plate is acted upon by fixed wiper devices 17, 18 for every revolution, and just before printing occurs a further wiping device 19 is moved into operation to effect a final wiping, this device acting for alternate revolutions only. The printing- cylinder 1 may coact with an impression,cylinder 4 of double its diameter, or with one of equal size which is tripped for alternate revolutions.
