Abstract
530,097. Lecher-wire systems. LORENZ AKT.- GES., C. June 16, 1939, No. 17660. Convention date, June 22, 1938. [Class 40 (iii)] A lecher-wire system is tuned by the introduction more or less into the space between its ends of a body, which may be metallic, having a greater dielectric constant than 1. As shown in Fig. 2 the system ends in a semi-circular portion and can be extended by the connection of further semi-circular portions by switches S. Plate H e.g. of ceramic material having a high di-electric constant and low losses or of polystyrolene can be moved more or less into the space between the semi-circular parts. Wedgeshaped bodies or plates having two parts with different di-electric constants may be used instead of the plates H.
