539,920. Linear-dimension gauges. SMITH, C. Nov. 11, 1940, No. 16304. [Class 106 (ii)] To relieve wear in the " go " anvils b b of " go " and " no-go " limit gauges an additional pair of gauging members a a are provided adapted to be presented to the work in advance of the " go " anvils. The gauges and gauging members may be formed as in Specifications 535,675 and 539,256. Such additional gauging members may be placed between the " go " and " no-go " gauging members to grade the work passing the gauge.
