Abstract
538,276. Projectiles. LITTMANN, M. Jan. 4, 1940, No. 272. [Class 9 (i)] A projectile formed of a material made by the metal-ceramic method, which consists in starting from powders of metals or metal compounds and forming into a body by pressure and sintering, has a number of edges 2 extending from the tip towards the main body to increase its penetrative power. The edges may be disposed longitudinally of the projectile or may be curved, and may be of helical formation. The body of the projectile may be of tungsten-carbide and the tip of tungsten-carbide, titanium-carbide and cobalt.
