536,822. Typewriter desks. ROGERS, W. Nov. 24, 1939, No. 30762. Convention date, Nov. 18, 1938. [Class 52 (iii)] A typewriter desk comprises a sheet steel base 10 folded to form guiding tracks 13<SP>1</SP> along which the wheels or rollers 25 of a superposed typewriter-carrying platform 20 may run, means such as recesses 31 in the track being provided to retain the platform at the ends of its travel. With the platform in the position shown, the typewriter (not shown) is out of use, and a blotting pad 18 and writing accessories within recesses 19 are available. The typewriter is presented for use by running the platform to a position over the blotting pad. Stops 30 limit the movements of the platform. The recesses 31 may be sufficiently deep to permit stops on the platfurm to descend upon the track and assist in preventing movement. The desk stands on rubber feet 16 or may be embodied in a table or counter.
