Abstract

534,967. Erasers. RAILTON, E. W. Jan. 18, 1940, No. 1130. [Class 146 (iii)] An eraser 14 is held by a gripper 15 upon a lead-screw plunger 16 so as to feed the eraser through a guide 12 on the holder 11. The eraser is of strip form and the guide 12 is of rectangular cross-section, the holder being oval in outer cross-section to facilitate its positioning. The gripper 15 is secured to the plunger 16 which is cut and bent from a slide 17 having at its upper end three arcuate bridges 20 threaded to engage a screw 21 secured to a knurled head 26. The end cap 25 and the slide 17 enter longitudinal grooves 19 in the holder 11. The eraser may also be in the form of a slender rod.
