522,875. Measuring for wearing apparel. RUNDELL, G. V. March 10, 1939, No. 7764. [Class 141] A device for taking measurements of a person prior to making clothes consists of a neck strap 9 to which are secured a plurality of flat bendable scaled rulers comprising front and rear vertical rulers, 1, 2, 25, 26, to each of which is rigidly secured pairs of transverse rulers 5, 7; 6, 8; 19, 21; 20, 22 respectively which are directed towards the shoulder parts, the vertical rulers hanging freely below the transverse rulers. The latter extend horizontally or incline downwardly from their points of connection with the corresponding vertical ruler. The rear rulers 25, 26 are connected by a transverse ruler 10 which is connected to the neck strap by a strip 17. The rulers consist of one or more layers of wax cloth &c. and the spaces between the rulers at the shoulder parts are filled with wax cloth parts 11 to 16 and 23, 24.
