Abstract

522,807. Impulse transmitters. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and PUCKETTE, C. C. Dec. 17, 1938, No. 36777. [Class 40 (iv)] The shaft 4 of a dial transmitter carries a pin 7, on the toothed wheel 9 as shown, which in the normal position engages a stop on a flat spring member 12 secured at one end 11 to the back member of the dial body and resting at the other end on a screw 14 inserted from the back of the body. By slackening the screw, the engagement with the pin 7 may be released to permit the driving spring to be wound up or unwound for adjustment. The heads of the screws 11 pass loosely through the upper portion of the spring 12 and serve to prevent sideways movement thereof. The pin 7 also prevents rotation of the dial through more than one revolution. The Provisional Specification describes discs of synthetic resin fixed to the shaft and to the dial body to exclude dust.
