Abstract
529,575. Finishing leather. COTTON, A. F. R. Feb. 17, 1939, No. 5377. [Class 76] Leather is finished by contracting the fibres by the application of heat at 240‹F. to 600‹F., preferably between 250‹F. to 400‹F., by means of a heated pressure member having a porous and soft or resilient surface applied to one side or in succession to both sides at a pressure up to ten lbs., e.g., 4 to 6 lb. per sq. in.
