528,164. Rulers. CLEMENTZ, E. A. April 29, 1939, Nos. 12852, 12853 and 12854. Convention dates, April 29, 1938, Jan. 18, 1939 and March 20, 1939. [Class 97 (iii)] A pair of ruler attachments to facilitate the drawing of spaced parallel lines each comprise a slidable cursor 1, and a graduated rod 3 carrying a pointer 4 and slidable in the cursor 1 in a direction transverse to the edge of the ruler. The two rods 3 may carry racks to enable them to be adjusted simultaneously by means of a pair of pinions slidably, but non-rotatably mounted, on a shaft, which is rotatably mounted in brackets fixed to the ruler. In a modification, a single attachment is used, the end of the rod 3 carrying the pointer 4 then having a preferably telescopic extension, parallel to the edge of the ruler, to carry the second pointer.
