524,902. Centrifugal pumps. PULSO METER ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., and PRICE, A. V. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4422. [Class 110 (i)] A disintegrating pump for water-borne solids comprises two sets of vanes F, G in series, and one or more fixed knives C, H coacting with the vanes to form shearing blades, the first set of vanes F acting primarily for pumping and'preliminary cutting, while the second set G acts primarily for screening and additional cutting. An annular space J may be provided between F and G, and the inner ends of the alternate screening vanes G<1> may be relieved as shown in Fig. 2. The vanes G may be integral with F or may be carried by a separate ring attached to the rotor.
