[Class 135] A fluid-pressure operated power device particularly adapted for operating hydraulic valves comprises a hollow expansible member with two separate compartments integral with a constricted medial portion and associated with means for alternatively expanding said compartments to reciprocate a member associated with the power device. In the form shown in the Figures the constricted medial part is clamped about a flanged internal partition by a clamp 34. The cylindrical part opens into two torus-shaped chambers closed by flanged covers 24, 27 to which the ends of the flexible member are clamped by members 26 engaging beads on the flexible members. Square plates 25, 28 secured to the covers 24, 27 are coupled together by four rods 30 and the lower cover plate has a screwed socket engaging the screwed end of a valve spindle 17. The lateral margins of the clamp 34 are extended to form reversely curved rings 35, fitting into the concave juncture between the cylindrical and bulbous portions of the flexible member. At their outer peripheries the rings are secured to spacing members 37, 38 carried by pillars 39 supported by a budge 40 secured to the valve casing. The member 38 is divided and recessed to accommodate pipes 42 which pass through the clamp and flexible member and are screwed into sockets in the member 32 leading to the upper and lower compartments respectively. The supply and exhaust of pressure fluid through the pipes to and from the two compartments is controlled by a manually actuated four way cock. The main valve of known construction controls the supply of high and low pressure fluid to a press and the exhaust therefrom.
