518,339. Stuffing box substitutes. MANCHESTER OIL REFINERY, Ltd., and PORGES, F. Sept. 9, 1938, No. 26318. [Class 122 (v)] A shaft sealing device consists of a floating bearing ring C maintained in contact with the sealing surface b, formed on a collar b<1> on the sleeve B<1>, by means of the metal bellows E, the bearing ring being centred by the shoulder b<2>. The sleeve B<1> rotates with the shaft and the ring C may be centred by an internal bearing surface which contacts with the sleeve.
