Abstract

517,596. Air pumps. PONGRACZ, A. J. Aug. 4, 1938, No. 23048. [Class 8 (i)] [Also in Group XXXV] A reciprocating air pump 7 is driven by an electric motor 2 through a crank 4 and connecting rod 5. On the motor shaft 3 is mounted a fan 25 which supplies cooling air to the motor and also to the adjustable resistances 13, 14 which are situated in the upper part of the motor casing. These resistances enable the motor to be energized from electric mains having different voltages. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 436,094, 437,112, [both in Group XXXV], and U.S.A. Specification 1,928,965.
