Abstract
515,986. Trousers &c. HARTLEY, R. M., and HARTLEY SONS & CO. (HEBDEN BRIDGE), Ltd. Nov. 21, 1938, No. 33750. [Class 141] Fly-fronted trousers and like garments comprise a one-piece waistband which is continuous across the front of the trousers, and has its ends detachably secured together at one side in line with a side opening in the trousers, an elastic half belt or additional tabs being secured to the waistband at each side thereof. In the form shown, the ends of the waistband b overlap at the side opening d to form tabs b<1>, b<2>, which are secured together by buttons and buttonholes &c. and the tab b<2> together with a tab k at the other side of the waistband are detachably secured to the ends of an elastic half belt i housed in a tunnel at the rear of the waistband. The inside of the waistband is provided with friction pads l. Specification 499,170, is referred to.
