[Classes 69 (ii) and 135] A valve device particularly for use in a conduit connecting a control valve to a hydraulic or pneumatic power device for operating a clutch does not permit motive fluid to pass until it has attained a certain pressure and when the control valve is open to exhaust opens a local exhaust passage for the power device. In the form shown in the Figure a piston 1 loaded by a spring 3 is secured to a spindle 4 having at one end a valve face 5 adapted to co-operate with a seat surrounding the pressure fluid inlet 7 and at the other end a valve face 6 of greater diameter controlling the exhaust passage 8. The outlet conduit 10 is connected by a passage 11 with a chamber 12 on the inlet valve side of the piston and by a passage 13 provided with a throttling plug 15 with the chamber 14 on the other side of the piston. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes another form adapted for hydraulic action in which the valve device is arranged in the same casing as the power cylinder and the throttling plug is dispensed with. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
