[Class 121] Maize is steeped, comminuted, and subjected to separating operations in water yielding two or more mill starch streams of different solubles content, which streams are separately centrifuged to separate the starch from the gluten, the overflow streams containing the gluten being treated to remove gluten and then returned to different preceding steps in the process. The process is illustrated by a flow sheet. Specification 502,791 is referred to.
