509,564. Cleaning vehicles. EMAKUEL, R. Oct. 22, 1938, No. 30619. Convention date, March 25. [Class 138 (i)] An installation for washing. vehicles comprises a chamber or tunnel 1 with tracks 2, 2<1> along which a vehicle may be moved. Spray nozzles 3 are fitted to pipes 4 which are mounted so as to be capable of oscillation by means of a motor 9 acting through a crank 8, levers 10, 7, 12, 12<1>, and links 11; 13, 13'. The pipes 4 are connected to a water supply by flexible' hoses. The lengths of the levers 7 may be varied so as to vary the angle of oscillation of the nozzles. The oscillation 'of the nozzles may be continuous or intermittent, and the nozzles may be mounted on a traversing carriage, the vehicle remaining stationary.
