Abstract
506,007. Cylinders. PAYN. H. J. Nov. 20, 1937, No. 31996. [Class 7 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXIII] The exhaust gases from an aircraft engine are dicharged rearwardly through nozzle offices of contracting form disposed in a ring around the fuselage or engine nacelle as near as possible to the nose thereof. An annular noozzle 14 may be formed at the nose of an exhaust-gas collecting-ring 12 forming the leading edge of an engine cowling 11. Specifications 438,037 and 471,177, [both in Group XXXIII], are referred to.
