505,074. Timing - devices for fuelinjection pumps; couplings. MEADOWS, Ltd., H., and BIRD, A. W. April 21, 1938, No. 16395/37. [Class 102 (i)] [Also in Group XXIV] The timing of a fuel-injection pump is adjusted by a coupling between the hollow shaft b and the shaft a, driving the pump, which is.arranged within the shaft b. Members f, g are secured to the shafts and have projections i, j engaged by centrifugal masses k, and so shaped that movement of the masses causes angular movement of the projections i, j. Springs m are fitted in recesses n, o in the other adjacent faces of the projections i, j. Specification 4692/13, [Class 80 (ii)], is referred to.
