504,864. Alloys. SOC.. DES FABRIQUES DE SPIRAUX REUNIES, and SOC. ANON. DE COMMENTRY-FOURCHAMBAULT ET DECAZEVILLE. May 23, 1938, No. 15389. Convention date, June 1, 1937. [Class 82 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] Compensating spiral springs for chronometers and the like are made from iron alloys containing specified proportions or ranges of proportions of aluminium, chromium, cobalt, copper, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, titanium, tungsten, vanadium, carbon, and silicon. It is stated that such alloys have a temperature coefficient of Young's modulus that is slightly positive and substantially constant over a considerable range about atmospheric temperature. Specifications 127,806 and 165,311, [both in Class 82 (i)], are referred to.
