Abstract

493,168. Street &c. lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and SMYTH, J. B. S. Sept. 30, 1937, No. 26501. [Classes 75 (ii) and 75 (iv)] The holder 6 of an electric discharge street lamp 1 is slidably adjustable relative to a trough reflector 13 above the lamp by means of a screw 8, and carries a matt reflecting and diffusing plate 10 also above the lamp and a supporting stirrup 11 for it closed by a spring 12. The reflector 13 consists of a metallic coating on a glass body 14 completely enclosing the lamp. The reflector 10 is reversible, and has sides of different reflecting power.
