Abstract

499,229. Supports for hinged windows &c. ATKINSON, W. Oct. 12, 1937, No. 27719. [Class 65 (ii)] In supports for hinged windows &c. of the kind described in Specification 457,508, the stay bars e, h are strengthened by doubling their ends e<1>, h<1> which are pivoted to the lugs m, n on the window, so that the lugs work between the opposed faces of the doubled ends of the stays. The doubling may be effected by riveting additional strips e<1>, h<1> to the bars e, h, or by forming the bars with flanges turned over at the ends to provide two parallel surfaces.
