[Class 44] A cupboard or like door fastening comprises a screw 6 rotatably mounted in a hole 5a in the door 5 and a platelike member 10 secured to the door frame 4 so as to extend into the aperture to provide an abutment for the door and threaded to receive the screw. The web 10b on the abutment member may be dispensed with. The fastening provides an anti-rattle device suitable for use on ships and railroad cars.
