Abstract
489,200. Nets ; wire gauze &c. LOUTTIT, C. June 3, 1937, No. 15378. [Class 74 (i)] [Also in Group IX] Relates to nets of twisted cordage, fibre or wire, for use as cargo slings, torpedo nets, boom defence nets, or nets for placing above buildings to render them safe against attack by air. The meshes consist of two or more interwoundropes &c. 10 .. 13. At the corners of the meshes, one rope interpenetrates another as shown at 14...17, the arrangement being such that each penetrates one of a pair lying at right-angles and is penetrated by the other. In a modified form, the ropes are interwound in pairs 10a, 10b, 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b and 13a, 13b, and pairs of ropes are also interwound in pairs. Each pair such as 10a, 10b passes between one pair such as 13a, 13b lying at rightangles and the other pair 12a, 12b passes through it.
