Abstract

486,979. Bed-tables. TAUNTON, Ltd., J. & J., and TAUNTON, R. P. Feb. 1, 1937, No. 2844. [Class 52 (iii)] In tables of the kind comprising a sheet-metal panel or tray 4 attached at its edges to a U-shaped frame 1 adapted to rest upon the floor and straddle a bed, the panel has a raised boundary wall 5 secured to the frame, the bottom of the tray being in a plane below the top of the frame. The sides 8 of the tray 4 are shaped to fit over the tubular side members of the frame and secured by rivets 9 or by welding, the crevices being filled in by welding. The ends 6 of the tray are curled over and the hollow under side filled in with metal. Cross bars 2 may be provided between the members 1 which are mounted on castors 3.
