[Class 108 (i)] [Also in Group XXXI] Motor vehicles provided with a longitudinal central member chassis are arranged with two or more independent body sections which are detachably connected together by means of the chassis. Fig. 1 shows a two-part chassis 1, 2 arranged in body sections A and B, C, the ends of the chassis telescoping one into the other and secured. The body sections are provided with partitions 3, 4 which are spaced apart and one section is provided with a flange 5 adapted to seat in a recess 6 in the other part. Fig. 4 shows three body sections A, B, C with a three-part chassis 7, 8, 9 in which the central section B may be threaded on the chassis as shown or lowered thereon. Fig. 7 shows a one-part chassis 12 arranged to pass through three body sections and be provided with bumpers 13, 14. Fig. 9 shows the central section provided with an extending chassis adapted to enter the front and rear sections. Fig. 11 shows a crank-case &c. 24 provided with a guide for the chassis 25.
