[Class 132 (iii)] A toy vehicle has the sheet metal body B and wheel axles 16 disposed within the outer limits of large, soft and resilient wheels W preferably of sponge rubber. The body B, Fig. 1, is preferably made symmetrical with respect to a horizontal plane through its longitudinal axis so that the vehicle can run upside down, the figure being pivoted at 50 and weighted at 48 for maintaining an upright position of the figure. The wheels W are formed by compressing highly porous spherical sponge rubber balls between washers 18 and 20 on the axles 16. The axles 16 have shoulders 19 and 30 to prevent axial movement of the wheels and body. The toy can be pulled along by a cord 44 which may be of rubber to enable evolutions to be performed. In the construction shown in Fig. 7 the vehicle is front-wheel driven by a spring motor, and spacer tubes 56 are provided on the wheel axles. The vehicle may be made symmetrical with respect to a central transverse vertical plane. A feeler 92, 94 is provided to lock the spring motor when the vehicle is not on a running surface. In the construction shown in Fig. 8 the figure is provided with two heads 112, 114 of outwardly convexed sheet celluloid pivoted at 118 and weighted at 120 with bumpers 122, or the heads may be fixed. Ring- like bell clapper weights 136 carried on pins 138 on the disc 134, driven from the front axle 126, strike the gong 140 when the vehicle is pulled along by the cord or rubber strand 124.
