Abstract
473,396. Protective arrangements. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., and BLIGH, N. R. Jan. 28, 1937, No. 2537. [Class 38 (iv)] In a radio interference suppressing device for electric motors and other apparatus in which the apparatus is completely enclosed by a conducting shield connected to one lead of the supply, a condenser is connected between the supply leads and an outer case completely insulated from the shield encloses the arrangement preventing the operator from making contact with the shield. The shield may be constituted by the motor housing, the outer case may be of insulating material or of metal insulated from the shield, and the condenser may be arranged external to, but in close proximity to the shield.
