473,138. Brake drums. BUDD WHEEL CO. April 6, 1936, No. 10068. Convention date, April 5, 1935. [Class 103 (i)] [Also in Group XXII] A brake drum comprises a ring 21 cast about and interlocked with a radially extending peripheral portion of the head 24. Dovetailed projections or holes may be provided in the periphery of the head 24 about which the ring 21 is cast. The ring 21 may be provided with a radial, stiffening rib 22, and may be cast about a separate ring 25 which is welded to the head 24.
