Abstract
479,958. Link - belts. WRAY, J. H. Sept. 29, 1936, No. 26411. [Class 80 (i)] [Also in Group IX] Mats, matting, and drive belting have outer links 1 of leather or rubber &c., with longitudinal bores 2, spaced holes 3 and end slits 4, stout and stiff wires 5 being threaded through the bores and then bent into U -forms. The limbs of the wire are passed through the slits into the holes the slits afterwards closing, so that the wire is completely concealed. Several wires are threaded on to outer links. body links 6 and spacers 7, which may be of the same or different materials to the links 1. and the ends 5a of the wires are bent over and threaded on outer links in a manner described. In a modification wires 5b, Fig. 7, which may be coiled and short outer wires 5 are used.
