[Class 16] [Also in Group XVI] In a duplicating book-keeping arrangement in which narrow bands of duplicating paper are interleaved with account sheets carried by a supporting plate, means are provided for clamping the sheets, and the duplicating bands are arranged on reels slidably mounted on one or more shafts in a frame, the clamping means and the shafts being arranged on the same side of the supporting plate, preferably the lefthand side.. The support 1 has pivoted spring- pressed clamps 2, 3 mounted thereon having manipulating handles 5, 6 respectively, and also carries a frame 7 supporting a number of shafts 7<1> on which reels 8 of carbon paper bands 9 are slidably mounted. The reels may rotate about the shafts, or may be non-rotatably mounted thereon, in which case the shafts can be rotated by means of handles, such as 14. The clamp 3 is in the form of a bail having clamping-feet 12 slidably mounted thereon. The loose account sheets are placed on the support, a ledge 10 acting as a guide edge for the bottom sheet, and the carbon bands 9 are suitably arranged between the sheets. The clamp 2 preferably holds only the bottom sheet, and the clamp 3 holds down the rest of the sheets on the bottom sheet. If desired, a spring-pressed pivoted bail arm 15 provided with pressure members 16 may be arranged on the frame 7 to serve as an additional clamping means for the sheets. In addition to the loose account sheets, rolls of record paper perforated to provide further copy sheets may be arranged similarly to the reels of carbon paper.
