Abstract

479,416. Forced - flow steam boilers. SIEMENS - SCHUCKERTWERKE AKT.- GES. June 28, 1937, No. 18013. Convention date, June 26, 1936. [Class 123 (ii)] In a forced - flow tubulous steam boiler at least one of a number of tubes through which the working medium flows in parallel from a common supply conduit 7 to a common outlet conduit 8 has an independent separator 11 in the length of the tube between the common conduits and a regulator 12 for independently controlling the supply to the tube. The supply of heat or of working medium to conduit 7 is controlled preferably automatically in accordance with the quantity of liquid in the separator so that with an increase, the heat is increased or the feed supply reduced and vice versa. By setting valve 12 to increase the throttling effect the flow through the remaining tubes is increased and the outlet temperature reduced ; also the ensuing fall of liquid level in the separator results in a reduced heat supply with a further reduction in temperature of the superheated steam.
