Abstract

477,737. Bath mats. TRIGG, A. L. Feb. 19, 1937, No. 5035; [Class 142 (iv)] The mat portion is removable and comprises spared parallel wooden slats 7 &c. secured to strips 8 restingon the bottom of a wooden, metal or synthetic resin tray 5 with a rim 6. The gaps &c. 11 between the slats form slots down which water falls into the tray, the slots being preferably inclined or diagonal. so that the tray bottom cannot be seen. The mat portion may be hinged by pins 10 to the tray, so that it may be opened out for draining purposes. The tray may be coated with cellulose or other highly glossy paint or enamel. The slats have a smooth surface &c. suitable for a person's bare feet and they may be covered with cork, rubber or linoleum &c. 9. They may be coloured.
