Abstract
476,347. Catamenial &c. appliances. SASHENA, Ltd., and McLAREN, J. July 11, 1936, No. 19296. [Class 81 (ii)] A belt or girdle for supporting a catamenial towel or the like comprises a strip 4, preferably of elastic material, having at one end a loop 5 through which the other end is passed and having adjustable thereon a strip 8 of tape, braid, or elastic material, the strip 8 and the free end of the girdle carrying means, such as hose-suspending clips 7, 9, for attachment of the towel. The loop 5 may comprise the folded and stitched end of the girdle itself, but preferably is formed from a strip of metal, synthetic resin, or like resilient material, slotted to receive the end of the girdle, and doubled back on itself, the free end being bent inwardly to form a closed loop. The loop may be rectangular or may be curved outwardly as at 6.
