475,987. Vehicle wheels. DUNLOP RUBBER CO., Ltd., and LACEY, B. W. D. Oct. 30, 1936, No. 29504. [Classes 144 (i) and 144 (ii)] A rubber tyre adapted to be fitted under tension on the ribbed metal rim 4 of a lawn mower or the like wheel comprises a treadportion 1, a base-portion 3 having transverse grooves to receive the ribs on the wheel-rim, and an intermediate band 2 of relatively inextensible material such as fabric. Preferably, the inner portion 3 is of harder rubber than the tread.
