Abstract
475,628. Bed - settees. THULIN, H. S. M. April 12, 1937, No. 10366. Convention date, April 15, 1936. [Class 52 (ii)] In a bed-settee of the kind in which the seat is rotatable about a longitudinal axis to present a mattress surface, the seat 2 rests at its ends on the fixed frame, e.g. on blocks 5, and is provided at each end with an approximately central pin 6 which slides in guides 7 provided at the upper end with recesses or bearing bushes 8 in which the pins are held while the seat is rotated after being raised. In operation the seat is raised and the pins 6 engaged in the recesses 8 first at one end and then at the other. The pins 4 on the seat and the blocks 5 on which they rest may be so arranged that the seat is normally inclined, but is horizontal when reversed to the bed position. The guides 7 may be removably secured to the frame, and the raising of the seat may be effected by lever mechanism acting on the pins 6.
