462,815. Daylight lamps. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd., and GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. Oct. 20, 1936, No. 28515. Convention date, Dec. 23, 1935. [Class 75 (iv)] A daylight lamp comprises a mercury discharge lamp 1 (preferably of the high pressure type), a sodium discharge lamp 2, rhodamine 5 or other substance emitting red luminescent light under the radiation from the mercury discharge lamp, and a reflector 4 or like fitting whereby the light from the three sources is effectively mixed. Uranium or other luminescent substance may also be added to the combination.
