Abstract
461,401. Spectacles &c. GAMMERT, G. R. H. P., (trading as MULLER & SOHNE, F., [Firm of]). April 18, 1936, No. 11177. Convention date, Jan. 10. [Class 97 (i)] In spectacles &c. having plaquets which are resiliently connected to the frame, the connection for each plaquet consists of a number of helical springs which preferably lie one within another. As shown in Fig. 4, the connection comprises a spring 18, one end of which is soldered to the plaquet 1, while the other end is inserted in a socket 19 carried by the arm 11. The mouth 20 of the socket mav be constricted to grip the spring without preventing removal. The socket may have an aperture at its inner end through which the end of the spring is passed, the projecting end of the spring being bent over and secured to the socket by soldering &c. The spring is of the form shown in Fig. 3, comprising two helices 15, 16, one within the other.
