Abstract
466,109. Disc mills. HATHORN, DAVEY, & CO., Ltd., and LUPTON, H. R. Nov. 18, 1935, No. 31843. [Class 59] A perforated disc through which fluid-borne solids are forced by an impeller is provided with holes, the axes of which are inclined. The holes may be arranged spirally or be radially inclined with respect to the axis of rotation of the impeller. As shown the grid or disc 1 is provided with tapered holes 2 drilled at an inclination to the plate, the small end of the hole facing the rotary member so that the edge 3<x> forms a cutting edge. The holes may be arranged in spiral formation with the holes in one row staggered in relation to the holes in the next row.
