451,138. Saucepan &c. lids. JOSEPH, Ltd., N. C., and JOSEPH, B. C., Birmingham Road, Stratford-on-Avon. May 22, 1935, No. 14876. [Class 66] A saucepan &c. lid 11 of heat-resisting glass, which may have a metal rim portion 10 attached thereto by spinning &c., is formed with a flat upper surface 6 adapted to support a superposed vessel, an upstanding rib or bead 5 being provided to prevent accidental displacement of such vessel. The rib 5 may be afforded by a portion of the metal rim. The central portion of the lid may be formed as a depression or cavity 4 in which a knob 7 of heat-insulating material or other form of handle may be disposed.
