Abstract
457,000. Gilled tubes for heat - exchangers. RANDLE, F., c/o Randle Radiators, Ltd., Mile Lane, Coventry. Oct. 15, 1935, No. 28438. [Class 64 (iii)] An air-cooled radiator &c. particularly for motor vehicles consists of horizontal plates having apertures through which are threaded pear-shaped water tubes, the wider ends of which face the air flow. The plates are spaced apart by tangs 12 formed around the apertures and may have crinkled edges 17. In a modification, the plates are spaced apart by the crinkles and the tangs are dispensed with. In another arrangement, corrugated plates 11a, Fig. 4, are provided. U.S.A. Specification 1,992,795 is referred to.
