[Class 8 (i)] In a two- or multistage compressor, interstage cooling of the compressed medium is effected bv a ribbed tube cooler 9 placed in the pressure chamber 8 situated alongside the compressor cylinder 2. The cooler conveniently takes the form of an automobile radiator.
